Note: the men reading this blog may think of their wives and daughters … since this blog is about women and their relationship with money …
When it comes to personal finance, I am very left brain. As a result, assessments look at how much money it takes overall to sustain your current Standard of Individual Living (SOIL) … how you spend your money is your purgative. My perspective is also from a man’s point of view although my focus is always on the woman when I plan because they are the one likely to outlive the husband, or if not married, it is their longer lifetime that must be considered.
However, this approach ignores the fact that you may also prefer to have a personal touch and a woman’s point of view. Now, I have encountered a young woman who I think provides what many have asked for … especially woman. Our approaches to personal finance are complete opposites and focus on different aspects … thus strengthening how successful you may be with your money.
Melissa Tosetti teaches personal finance from a lifestyle perspective because money affects everything. It affects where you live, what you eat, what you wear and how you spend your free time. Effective money management is about so much more than contributing to a retirement account or buying an item on sale.
Melissa works with clients to create a strong financial foundation by implementing savvy day-to-day habits and routines. We then introduce The Savvy Life Philosophy which is to save money in the areas that are not as important to you so you can focus your spending on the areas that are important to you.
