Memorial Day … is remembering

Memorial Day was started to remember and honor fallen soldiers of the Civil War. As a retired Air Force pilot, I too have close friends who passed away in service through various aircraft accidents. I can’t help but think of them this time of year.

We remember the past casualties for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country and our freedom. (Afghanistan  Iraq)

These are all fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, grandsons and grand daughters, nieces and nephews, and friends. Loss felt and remembered by someone.

God Bless them and their family.
